La Torre Resort is not directly on the coast, so there is no beach of a walking distance. Fortunately, Polaris World offer La Torre Resort a private beach club at Los Narejos. Being a short commute from the resort, you can take advantage of the complimentary travel via a bus if you are staying at the Intercontinental Hotel or resort apartments. For the latest up to date time table, please check with the hotel reception. At the private La Torre Beach Club there are many sun loungers available to hire, with a generous amount of restaurants and bars near by.
To book and reserve a place of the complimentary bus, please contact the hotel reception and they will be able to assist you. Apart from the private Beach club, there are numerous beaches all along the coast with water sports readily available.
- Bike Hire at La Torre Resort
Bike hire at La Torre will help you keep active and is a great way to travel across the resort. With bike hire available from the town centre you will be able to choose a bike from the wide range and variety of bicycles. The sizing of the bikes to hire range from childrens to adults resulting in the whole family or party can have access to use a bike during their stay. You can also hire bicycles with a baby seat, making it even easier to travel around the resort for those families with babies.
You can hire bikes on a daily basis from 1 day up to 7 days. Before you hire a bicycle, you will be required to leave a small deposit beforehand which will be refunded at the end of your hire upon inspection. Unfortunately there will be a set charge made if loss or theft occurs during your hire. Small charges will also occur if loss of an accessory happens. All of these details will be thoroughly explained to you prior to hiring.

With day trips of around 5 hours in duration, you will be able to visit the islands in the centre of the Mar Menor and the fabulous beaches along the coast. The business centre here at La Torre is open 24 hours a day, located on the ground floor near the reception. At La Torre Resort, you will find car parking available very close to your accommodation whether it is for the Intercontinental Hotel, apartments, villas or townhouses.
The Intercontinental Hotel has a large number of parking available for guests. With 150 spaces in an underground car park, you will never struggle to find a space. Being an underground car park, your vehicle will be covered. To ensure safety of you and your vehicle, the underground car park is secured by controlled access gates and the parking area is well lit equipped with lights. For those who are interested, valet parking is also available. In addition to the secure underground car park, there is free parking available in the streets neighbouring the hotel.

For your convenience there is a complimentary bus that will take you to and from all of the golf courses in the Nicklaus Golf Trail. The courses consist of La Torre, El Valle, Hacienda Riquelme, La Torre Sur and Condado de Alhama. Between these courses you can freely travel from one to the next, all courtesy of the resorts shuttle buses.
To book a bus travelling to another golf course along the Nicklaus Golf Trail, simply contact the golf clubhouse reception. You will be able to view the bus timetable to the courses, or they can also call a bus for you. Each golf course is uniquely designed to be challenging for even the skilled golfer, resulting in the best golf experience found in Europe.

- Cycling in La Torre Resort
For those who wish to hire a bicycle or cycle in and out of the resort, you have multiple choices. In the town centre at La Torre Resort, you will find amongst the fantastic facilities a bike hire shop. It is possible to rent and hire out multiple or single bicycles at a good rate. The bikes can be hired on a daily basis up to 7 days.
When hiring a bike in La Torre Resort, you will have to leave a small deposit against the hire of a bicycle. This will then be refunded at the end of your hire upon inspection of the bike. - Dress Code for La Torre Resort
At La Torre Resort, you will find that the dress code is the same for all courses within Polaris World. This makes life easier for when you travel across the Nicklaus Golf Trail. For information on dressing appropriately on the golf green, please see below.
Please do not wear any t-shirts without sleeves or neck; football, rugby, or similar. Trousers and skirts must be designed to be worn whilst playing golf. Jeans and tracksuits are completely forbidden. Only long golf shorts are to be worn. The use of football, tennis, swimming shorts etc are strictly forbidden. Socks must be worn and only golf shoes with soft spikes are allowed on the green. No street, canvas, trainers or sandal type shoes are permitted. Trainers are only allowed to be worn on the driving range.
- Drinking Water at La Torre Resort
There is no drinking water at La Torre Resort, or anywhere within Spain. Instead please drink from bottled water only. If you are staying within an apartment, villa or townhouse you will find a welcome pack for you to use at the start of your holiday. In the welcome pack, you will find varied types of drinks for you including milk, bottled water, orange juice, etc. With many bars and restaurants and a supermarket at the resort, you will find refreshments available wherever you go.
- Driving Directions from Alicante to La Torre Resort Spain
When leaving the airport, follow road-signs heading towards the AP7 motor-way marked Cartagena. Once joined, follow the A-7 / E-15 for 25 minutes. The road will split into two different directions so you will need to make sure you follow the road off to the left heading onto the AP-7. Continue on the AP-7 until you see signs for the C-3319. Take Exit 782 marked Murcia / Balsicas on the right and follow the slip road onto the C-3319. Continue on the C-3319 for 16.6km. You will notice on your left you will pass La Torre Resort, proceed to take the second exit off after passing the resort. Do not take the first exit after you pass the resort. Once you take the second exit, you will take the slip road off. Please take the flyover to get back onto the C-3319 in the opposite direction by taking the first left at the roundabout. Signposted for San Javier. At the next roundabout immediately after, take the first exit following road signs for Urbanizacions. Take care not to mistake the second exit as you will be unable to access La Torre Resort. Once you have taken the first exit off the roundabout, you will then continue on the service road for a final 1.8km to arrive at La Torre Resort on your right hand side.
