Children can undertake an exciting introduction to the world of diving with the Bubblemaker course. This program allows children between 8 - 10 years of age to experience the exhilaration of the underwater world whilst being under the watchful eye of a PADI dive instructor. This course is held in a purpose built swimming pool with a maximum depth of 2 metres and limit groups to a maximum of 2 children. Once the children feel comfortable, games will be held with rubber torpedoes, underwater frisbees, swimming through hoops and treasure hunting. The most popular scuba diving course in the world is the Open Water. This course is structured into 3 sections; knowledge development, training on confined water skills and 4 open water dives in the sea. At Scuba4all, you will practice your dives under water in a purpose built swimming pool before you undertake open water dives in the sea, this will ensure you master the skills needed. For this course you must be able to swim a minimum of 200 metres and able to tread water for 10 minutes. The benefit of becoming a PADI Open Water Diver means that you can dive anywhere in the world up to a depth of 18 metres with another qualified diver. Junior Open Water Divers 10-12 years old have a maximum depth of 12 metres and must be accompanied by a PADI professional. If you do not have time to complete the Open Water course then you can become a Scuba Diver which is the entry level diver qualification issued by PADI. To enrol for this course you must be over 10 years of age and will take 2 or 3 days to complete. This course is divided into 3 sections; knowledge development, training on confined water skills training and 2 open water dives in the sea. The benefit of completing the Scuba Diver course is that you are qualified to dive anywhere in the world up to a depth of 12 metres, whilst under the supervision of a PADI professional. Please note that the Spanish Authorities do not allow anyone under the age of 16 to be taught the Open water or Scuba Diver courses. This mainly applies to diving in the sea. Local law states that divers should have a medical every 2 years. You will be required to complete the PADI medial statement. This applies whether you book on a certification course or just for a diving trip. You must also have personal insurance which covers you for accidents whilst scuba diving. If you have you own travel insurance then please bring it with you as it’s required to be checked for covering you for scuba diving. If you do not have insurance that covers you for diving then this can be arranged for you. This applies again to whether you are taking out a course or a guided dive.
