The beach, playa Los Urrutias is host to beautiful sand spread across a kilometre along the Mar Menor. This is another fantastic beach to visit whilst staying at La Torre; the golden sandy beach includes good water sport activities, toilets, showers and most importantly life guards for your personal protection whilst on the beaches.

Many diverse aquatic sports can be practiced at Los Urrutias. Los Urrutias has a kilometre of golden beach with good facilities, enhanced by Club Nautico de Los Urrutias. A hexagonal shaped offshore marina. Inside are four jetties with surrounding quays. Water craft hire is also available plus sailing, Jet Skiing, water-skiing, rowing and canoeing. Behind the beach is a modern spacious town with an attractive promenade. Either side of Los Urrutias, the coast is protected land, preserving the quality of the environment. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes.
Head southeast on the C-3319 heading towards Calle Laguna De Los adobes
After 18.3km you will need to merge onto the AP-7 motorway via the ramp to Los Alcázares / Cartagena
After 12km take the exit 794 toward El Carmolí / Los Urrutias / Los Alcázares (Sur)
Shortly after you will come to a roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto N-332 heading to Los Urrutias / Los Alcazares
Turn right at F-34
After 4.1 km turn left at Calle de Soler Bans
Then take the 1st right to stay on Calle de Soler Bans
Almost instantly turn left at Calle de Hernán Cortés
And finally after 45m turn left at Calle de Antonio Reverte Moreno to arrive at Los Urrutias.

As with other beaches along the Mar Menor, you will find a vast amount of water sports readily available for you to experience. Whether you enjoy the thrill of jet skis, the rate of knots produced by speed boats, or just the tranquillity of a rented pedalo it can be found in and around the area. Windsurfing, paragliding, snorkelling and scuba diving are all available locally. Not forgetting those who love to fish can also find themselves on a yacht.
