There are a vast amount of marinas on the Mar Menor to arrange boat trips from. A typical trip from the local company Charter Muffy lasts around 5 hours visiting the islands and beaches and then why not relax in the warm spa waters. With the chance to snorkel and swim off the boat, it makes this excursion popular with families.

If you do not have 5 hours to spare, you can also go on mini boat trips that last around 2 to 3 hours long depending on which option you choose. The 2 hour boat trip consists of an island tour, whereas the 3 hour boat trip has Sunday lunch included. Apart from the day trips, you can also go on fishing trips producing fun for the family. All fishing trips include rods, bait and tackle with beers and soft drinks available for you.

The Mar Menor is connected to the Mediterranean by four channels, which prevent the Mar Menor lagoon from drying out. The largest channel is called El Estacio and is the only waterway for boats to visit both seas.

The Tomas Maestre marina has more than 1000 moorings with a superb collection of shops and restaurants close by. Marinas surrounding the Mar Menor provide you with a wide choice of boat trips, charters and water sport activities.

Information and Rules:
For a prompt departure at 11.00, please meet at the designated pick-up point by 10.30. You will return at 16.30 hours on a typical day trip. With all day trips, free drinks are available throughout and a personal skipper is included.

There are also rules to follow when on the boat trip:
Smoking is not permitted whilst underway.
Footwear - boating shoes, white soled trainers or bare foot.
Clothing - shorts, swimwear, or tracksuit advised.
